Running several bars at once

One bar shows at a time — the first in your list that matches the page. Priority, page targeting and scheduling do the rest.

A visitor sees one bar at a time: Barly walks your list from the top and shows the first bar that matches the current page. Everything about running many bars follows from that one rule.

Order is priority

The arrows on the Bars screen set the order, and the bar nearest the top wins whenever two bars target the same page. During a campaign, move the campaign bar up — it overrides your everyday bar and hands back when it ends or you move it down.

Page targeting runs bars side by side

Bars that target different pages never compete. A classic set: free shipping progress on home and collections, a dispatch-deadline countdown on product pages, a cart-reserved timer on the cart. Three bars, all live at once, each in its own place.

Scheduling builds a self-running calendar

Give seasonal bars start and end dates — Black Friday, then Christmas, then New Year — and keep your everyday bar undated at the bottom. Each campaign switches itself on and off; between campaigns the everyday bar shows. Set the season up once and never touch it again.

Storefront speed does not depend on how many bars you create: inactive, expired and not-yet-started bars are filtered out at publish time, so the storefront only receives bars that can actually show.
