What happens to your data when you uninstall

Deletion is automatic and complete. Here is the exact sequence, including backups.

Uninstalling is the deletion request. You do not need to email us as well.

The sequence

  1. You uninstall the app in your Shopify admin.
  2. Shopify sends us the app/uninstalled webhook within seconds.
  3. Every record belonging to your store is deleted from our database immediately — settings, recipients, scan history, subscriptions.
  4. Encrypted daily backups still contain the data until they expire, which takes at most seven days. They are then gone permanently.

Storefront code

Repeatly's storefront prompt is a theme app extension, which Shopify stops rendering the moment the app is uninstalled. Nothing is left inside your theme — the problem ThemeMedic exists to solve does not apply to our own apps.

If a customer asks you to delete their data

Shopify's data request and redaction webhooks are implemented in all three apps, so a request raised through Shopify reaches us automatically and is honoured. You can also write to app@liutomedia.lt directly and we will confirm in writing once it is done.
